4th - 7th  October 2018

Féile na Sollán /Sallins Trad Festival 2018

We at Sult na Sollán are proud to present our 6th Sallins Trad Festival. This year we have an exciting programme of events. We have, over  the course of the weekend, open music sessions in local Sallins pubs , a singing session and a singing workshop and also céili dancing . There are Arts and Crafts for younger children, puppet making workshop for older children , a family puppet show for children and adults and barge trips to name just few events. We are confident that there is something here for everyone here to enjoy.

Many of our festival events are bilingual (ie English and Gaeilge) This presents a great opportunity to use whatever Irish you may have, be it a lot, a little, or none, we aim to include everyone.

Saturday evening we have our main concert event which has proven to be a sell out in recent years (we advise early booking to avoid disappointment). This year’s concert features Fiddle Case a traditional music group from Clare, supported by Jenny Dillon a well known local traditional fiddle player.

A complete programme of scheduled events is available on the website and in our festival brochure. We invite you to peruse at your leisure.

Sult na Sollán run many other language and music events throughout the year. We run regularly Ranganna Gaeilge (Irish language classes for adults), family tours and events as Gaeilge, and a weekly Bricfeasta as Gaeilge ( breakfast as Gaeilge) .

Our music groups include Sult ÓG (our junior music group), Sult, Fonn Nua  and Spraoi. We also host singing sessions for local singers.

Details can be found on the website and within the festival programme.

We look forward to meeting you all at some stage over the weekend.
