Tipperary man, Michael Harrison, a grandson of well known fiddle player Aggie Whyte, is at the forefront of young Irish fiddle players. Taught by Brendan Larrissey of trad group Arcady, Michael has developed a fluent and free flowing style of playing highly influenced by the tradition of East Galway.

He is a three time All-Ireland fiddle champion in both underage and senior competitions. He has toured extensively around the world visiting Japan (EXPO) China, Australia, France, Germany, Slovenia, Britain and America and has performed with acclaimed musicians such as Seán O’Sé (Ceoiltóirí Chualann) and Brendan McGlinchey. He has made several radio and television appearances including Geantraí with Gerry “Banjo” O’Connor (Four Men & a Dog), Arty McGlynn and Ned Kelly
